Vidder's note: ZOMGYAY, I did a new Lost vid! *bounces* I've always loved this song but have never vidded it. I've never vidded specifically for Sayid, either (though he's been a "featured player" in a few of my earlier vids, lol! ;) ) and have wanted to for a while now. I actually had a vid started for him to a different song but it was clear right away that they weren't a good fit. Then I heard this song again last week and it was like "blammo!" ;) And since there's an unspoken rule that every vidder must use "Prelude 12/21" at some point in their career... :P ;) I had a great deal of fun sinking my teeth into all of these very tasty beats! My Baby Vegas, though, was reaching the point of getting neurotic twitches with all of those tiny little clips! o_O ;)
Anyway, if you watch, hope you enjoy! ♥!

Date: 2008-09-28 07:24 am (UTC)I agree, the violence does have a very graceful, balletic quality to it. I had trouble with that Keamy section because I'd catch myself just stopping to watch it play out instead of editing it like I was supposed to be doing! ;) And of course that neck-snapping moment definitely shouldn't be hot but it just so totally is! ;)
Thanks again so much! I'm so glad you enjoyed it! ♥!

Date: 2008-09-28 08:06 am (UTC)Oh, the little amount of Elsa footage did make this tricky! I seriously loved sinking my teeth into all of that beat use, though! Thanks so much for watching and commenting! *hugs!* ♥!

I really liked this one. It was simple, to the point, and you didn't even have to shorten the song! :D I loved the beat use (especially around 0:52...)
Nice work, hon! ♥

Date: 2008-09-28 08:11 am (UTC)You know, I've definitely been making "simpler" vids lately (less showy effects and more emphasis on the basics like beat use, storytelling and emotions). Not because I have anything against showier vids but because I started feeling too pressured to make things more HUGER!SUPA!SPECHUL!WOW! to the point where it was sending me straight into vidder's block. I've been hoping, though, that people would still be able to enjoy my stuff even with the lesser emphasis on HUGER!SUPA!etc.-ness! ;)
Thanks so very much for watching and commenting! *super(natural)!hugs and smishes!* ♥!
