Awww, thank you SO much for saying all of that! That really made me feel better! *hugs* ♥! I'm notoriously insecure when it comes to my writing, which I hate but I can't seem to shake. :S But I go back and read awesome comments like yours and try to use them to beat away all those nagging doubts and insecurities. Thank you again so very much!
Do you know how you're getting all these viruses?
It started when I was re-directed to a "poisoned page" from what my research can tell: it was a page with a ton of ads and apparently when one of them loaded into a temporary file, it loaded the virus with it (I didn't click on anything or actively download anything). It struck my Windows Security Center and my Norton anti-virus first thing, turning off my automatic updates (permanently, they won't come back on) and whatever they did to Norton caused it to shut-down. :S My Zone Alarm firewall kept the beasties from getting Internet access back out while I took advantage of the free upgrade to Norton 2009 they'd been offering me.
Well, little did I know that Norton 09 and Zone Alarm are completely incompatible. :S It froze my computer completely and I had to uninstall Zone Alarm through Safe Mode. So in the middle of this virus firestorm, I had periods of time with NO firewall, which let the virus go out and load more viruses and malware onto me. >:[
So now I have to change anti-virus or firewall because I can't have them both on the same computer anymore on top of trying to clear up all the viruses and bots as well as the damage they managed to do. :( I've been researching anti-virus programs and firewalls, trying to find ones that sound as "strong" as either Norton or ZA but so far I haven't been totally convinced by anything out there. :S The combo of Norton and ZA has kept me 100% protected before this incident for the past 4 years, which is a pretty good track record to try and beat, lol!
Geez, come for the comment and stay for my life story, huh? O_O ;) Sorry about rambling on like that!
Ooo, that's a great idea to switch the resolution to one of the "smaller" settings then just make the text bigger! I'm going to definitely try that! Right now since I'm not doing graphics or vidding, I guess having things stretchy and out of proportion is just an inconvenience but if I'm trying to do some sort of visual thing, then I want to really see what I'm doing and not have it all out of whack! O_O ;)
By the way, I hope you don't mind that I went ahead and friended you back? ;)
Anyway, thanks so much again for taking the time to comment about my writing and all of that! Very, very much appreciated! ♥!
