I'm usually a sucker for angsty/tragic backgrounds, but I don't know, I found his kind of forced.

Oy, the whole "stereotypical religious nut mother" thing was tiring, in my opinion. And the second she picked up those scissors, I knew exactly what was going to happen! o_O So that whole part wasn't what kinda sold me on Sylar. I liked the "Six Months Ago" parts where we saw how he was SO desperate to be "special," to have some sort of power, that he was finally willing to kill for it.

I love that scene where he goes back to Chandra Suresh and shows off "his" telekinesis and he's just so happy to be special at last. It just kinda ended up...endearing him to me. Well, endearing is a bit strong. I just have a special "villain" place in my fangirl heart that doesn't mean that I like the things that they do by any means, it just means that they, as a villain, just work for me on some level. ;)
